Pinch the Sky! Crabs FC victorious

Sunday was the first Crustacean Cup, an entertaining, viciously competitive, and frequently hilarious match enjoyed by all! Many thanks to captains Chris Pierucci (Crabs FC) and Laith Tierney (Tyranocrabs) for rounding up their muso mates for this epic battle.
After much falling over and kicking of air, Crabs FC took an early lead and were up 3-1 at half time, before the Tyranocrabs upped the ante and scored two late goals. As MC Peter Barr said, this match has become unexpectedly exciting! The teams played five minutes overtime in both directions, and although Crabs FC pounded about five shots at goal, all were abley saved by the Tyros awesome goalie, Cal Peck.
Who would’ve thought, but the match went to penalities! With Coolio’s Gangsta’s Paradise pumping in the background, five members of each team had snaps on goals, with Crabs FC’s Sam Scherr saving two Tyro shots and securing the match for the boys in orange. Well done fellas!

Thanks to all those who made it down to enjoy the first Crustacean Cup, especially MC Peter Barr and half time entertainer Zack Adams. Foodchain is already looking forward to taking things up a notch next year. Until then, pinch the sky and scuttle onto a soccer pitch in honour of 2010′s victors, Crabs FC.
